Crazy knife fighting video and what you can learn from it

Crazy knife fighting video
You can learn a lot from the following video
Here you can see that even when the attacker has a knife in his back hand, the defender can throw him around like a rag doll. Imagine if the defender had a knife as well. More than likely he would have been able to subdue his attacker.
What I would like to mention is that as in all self defense, it does matter who your attacker is. More times than not an attacker will come after you because he believes that he or she has some physical advantage over you. That advantage be it size or a weapon will in their eyes render you under their control.
However an untrained, emotional, angry attacker rarely can think straight. In this video you can see that this person was unsuccessful at harming the other person and got themselves almost hit by oncoming traffic. This is a good note to mention when you see someone carrying a weapon in their back hand.
If the lead leg and arm are without a weapon, this is a quick and easy target to use to throw off the attack. Stomping the foot, knee or kicking the outside of the leg of the attacker can redirect them and give you the few precious seconds necessary to get away. In the event that you find yourself under attack, you can grab the lead arm to literally direct your attacker in another direction or sway them away from you as in this video.
Self Defense Black Belt Program Evansville and Mount Vernon
Get rid of fear, Confidently Stand Up For Yourself, Control Your Situation Safely and Protect Your Loved Ones, So You Can Defend Yourself Anytime and against ANYONE!

Self Defense Black Belt Instructors
DON’T JOIN MY PROGRAM UNTIL YOU READ THIS…
I had the great pleasure of getting to train and become one of the few schools on the ground floor of the Self Defense Black Belt Program offered by Martial Arts School Alliance International. This program offers a rotating curriculum of top notch boxing, kickboxing, and military combatives techniques. It has been awesome to see a bunch of highly dedicated men in women in my program who are literally becoming more confident in their self defense skills along with learning some top notch techniques.
My group of men and women have been doing great and progressing along with the skill levels outlined in the curriculum. Sometimes I add some of the fighting fit fitness boot camp workout routine into their warm ups to give them a challenge. You can see an example of some of the stuff we have covered in the past week during our class. If you are looking for a great workout along with learning some top notch self defense techniques that will keep you safe on the street, then look no further. You don’t have to be a wimp. You don’t have to worry whether or not you can defend yourself. You don’t have to worry about whether you have the best instructor in Southern Indiana!
- Can you imagine being able to QUICK SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES that will work against anyone, anywhere, anytime? Producing a compelling feeling inside of others that you are not one to be messed with?
- Wouldn’t you like to have UNSHAKABLE confidence whenever YOU NEED IT? Imagine feeling those feelings of certainty and conviction all the time! Be able to walk into any situation and FEEL sure you can protect yourself no matter what!
- How would like to develop STRIKING POWER when you need it? We will show you how to maximize your striking power with proper technique and execution.
- How would you like to learn PROVEN STRIKING TECHNIQUES to covertly over power your opponents? Overwhelm your attacker with easy to use and implement techniques.
What I’m about to tell you, is the key to unlock THE SECRET every successful SELF DEFENSE EXPERT uses to in Every Situation! Now you’ll get the same results they do, utilizing your own style!
What do you think makes a good Self Defense Expert?
It’s Determination… their ability to Learn and Apply Proven Techniques AND the confidence to apply them when the situation arises.
Zig Ziglar once said: “You can have anything in the world you want if you’ll first just help enough other people get what they want.” There’s nothing you cannot obtain in this world if you are willing to help somebody else So it only MAKES SENSE that I want to help you achieve phenomenal results in the Self Defense Black Belt Program.
So if you’ve been standing on the sidelines up until now, and you’ve never had the opportunity to sharpen your skills like I have, then you’ll never be able to successfully defend yourself or fight like a real MMA UFC Champion until you LEARN HOW. Now I’ve done all the hard work for you! By the way… I wasn’t a natural when I first started. I was goofy, often lacked confidence and rarely felt I could really use anything I was taught. I had to LEARN THESE same techniques you’ll get when you decide THIS IS SOMETHING YOU NEED!

Zombies in Mount Vernon… For a Cause!
Chuck Gray of Mount Vernon Indiana is one of the walking dead… Or at least he will be on October 31st in Mount Vernon, Indiana.
Chuck is organizing a Zombie Walk in Mount Vernon, Indiana on October 31st, 2009. It is his hope to raise money and awareness for the local food pantries who serve the Posey County Indiana community. A ZOMBIE WALK is where people dress themselves up as the recently departed and walk in the local communities to help raise awareness for a specific need.
Zombie Walks have become quite a phenomenon over the last couple of years and becoming more popular every day. Just Google Zombie Walk and you will see tons of photos of groups organizing, dressing up in their gorey best to support a local charitable or non-profit organization. I highly encourage everyone to turn out on October 31st dressed as Zombies to have fun and support our local food pantry as we come into the holiday season.
The Mount Vernon Food Pantry has taken a huge hit over the last year. With the downturn of the economy, there are more families requesting support and need this year. With the upcoming Holidays and cold weather, some families have to make life decisions as to whether they eat or pay their heating bills. Let us all do our part to extend a helping hand to this great organization.

In Memory Of Roger Dale Barnes

Grandmaster Roger D. Barnes 12/1/1952 - 10/2/2009
I would like to thank everyone for their love and support as we grieve the loss of Grandmaster Roger D. Barnes on October 2nd, 2009. It meant a lot to me to see everyone come and visit him one last time along with offering your love and support during our time of loss. While we haven’t taken everyone up on their offers for help, we appreciate all the offers of support and aid at this time.
I know Dad would never want us to shut down the school because of him, we have opened the school this week after his funeral. The Tae Kwon Do program will continue just as it did before Sensei Lorelei Barnes will continue to teach. You will also see new faces such as Sensei Derek Almon who is a third degree under Grandmaster Roger Barnes. You will also see myself. I will help step in and teach along with the other instructors to help carry on the tradition of Sun Do Won Tae Kwon Do.
Some really cool changes is that we have re-affiliated ourselves with the Moo Do Won associations. This is a direct link to the WTF and Kukiwon Association. This is the world recognized leader in Tae Kwon Do. It also gives us the ability to have access to participate in the Olympic Sport of Tae Kwon Do as well as be a part of the AAU tournaments.
Again, I extend my thanks and appreciation of what everyone has done for us and shared with us during this time. Fear not, we will continue onward with the same steadfastness and drive that my Father taught me so many years ago.
Respectfully,
Master Jeff Barnes

Where were you on September 11th?
I can remember 9-11
Where was I on September 11th?
I remember that fateful day. I was working my first ‘real’ job out of College. I was working for Williams Communications in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jennifer and I were married and we had settled down into our first home together which was a duplex we bought. We lived in one side and rented the other. It was perfect for our needs.
I remember hearing reports from others co-workers. They were getting calls from their wives and loved ones. People believed we were at war and terrorist where taking over. We heard that a plane struck the World Trade Center and watched via the internet the reports of onlookers and reporters.
We watched in horror on live broadcast as we saw the second plane take its fateful plunge into the second tower. I can remember the sadness, the grief and the compassion for those who lost their lives on that fateful day. It still haunts me to see those who literally jumped from the building to end their lives to escape the incineration of the flames that were sweeping the building.
I remember that my coworkers were stuck close to the World Trade Centers. My new boss, a VP and a couple other technicians were on location at a POP (point of presence) site doing a basic inventory of our equipment, and collocation space. When the towers were hit, the phones in New York were hit as well. The switches that controlled the call flows that were still working were over taxed and couldn’t handle it.
Bravely, my boss and coworkers stayed on and helped get the switches up to handle call flow. They literally rented a vehicle and drove from New York to Tulsa because nobody could get anywhere by plane.
I remember being the last to leave. Most people were fearful of some plane hitting our building. The Williams Tower is the largest building in Tulsa. We had just moved into the WCG building that was built right next door. People rushed home to their loved ones out of fear and concern. I remember thinking that Tulsa was probably one of the least strategic spots a terrorist would hit and stayed on to finish some last minute work that needed to be done.
I remember the prayer vigils, the ceremonies and the community out cry to answer the question ‘why did this happen.’ Our church had a special prayer service to remember those who had passed away.
I remember the heroic firemen, policeman and volunteers who bravely went into the debris to pull people out. I was astonished and amazed that people survived the collapsed. I was saddened by the continual reports of loved ones seeking for answers and the possibility that their family survived.
I remember my world being changed. I noticed how easily rights can be stripped away in exchange for a sense of security. I watched a whole new division of government be created and the TSA come in to regulate air travel in the US.
I remember the war drums being played by mad men in authority. I believed in the war on terror to seek out those who caused the injustice. I remember thinking of joining the military myself. I remember being displeased and annoyed with redirection to the war on Iraq.
Where were you on this fateful day? Please share with me as we remember those fallen, those who bravely stood up for justice, and how in a few short minutes our world has changed ever since.
What do our kids learn in ‘Karate Class?’

What do kids learn from karate
With ‘Back To School’, parents look for programs to get their children involved.
What do kids REALLY learn from ‘karate’ or martial arts lessons?
Instead of ’sales pitch’ I wanted to let you know what other parents are saying about our program. It is my hope that you will help spread the word about our program and the benefits children can receive and parents expect from a well-organized school.
“My Grand-daughter has come out of her shell. Before she wouldn’t talk to anyone. After learning martial arts from Community Martial Arts, she is more talkative and open to relate with others.”
“My son had discipline problems at school. After attending Community Martial Arts, he is doing better in school and getting better grades.”
“I have two grandchildren in this program. I am seeing positive results and the beginnings of proper discipline.”
“We were able to see results in our son after one class”
“Our son has anger problems. This class has helped him control his anger and deal with issue in a healthy way”
“We have five children in the program and we are seeing a difference. They say ‘Yes Sir’ and ‘Yes Ma’am’ which has helped a lot at home.”
“We struggled to get our son to do well in class, he loves Community Martial Arts so much that he does well in school just so he won’t miss a class”
This is where you come in… I want to reward you for telling others about our program. We recently did a ‘Back To School’ pencil blitz having our students spread the word about our program by sharing Community Martial Arts pencils with their classmates. So, I am going to make a VERY, VERY special deal for you our parents…
If you refer a student who joins one of our programs, I am going to give you a choice of $50 cash OR a Free Month of lessons! That is my way of saying THANKS!
